including standard wood frame and stucco, architectural masonry and
wood framing, steel frame and stucco and many other “alternative”
construction media. Becklin Construction LLC also has a unique
expertise in masonry and steel frame construction.
 The 2 x 6 wood frame with one coat stucco system has a composite
R-value of 22 using standard density foam board. This is probably the
most economical way to build. 6” light gauge steel frame with one coat stucco system using standard
density foam board has a composite R-value of 22. This method,
although slightly more costly, has additional benefits in reduced
termite problems, studs don’t rot, twist or warp. 6” Integra insulated post-tensioned masonry with wood framing or steel
framing. The composite R-value is 24. Options are available to
increase this value up to R-30. 8” Integra insulated post-tensioned masonry with wood framing or steel
framing. The composite R-value is 31. Options are available to
increase this value up to R-38. The ceilings in our homes are typically R-38 insulation. Whatever the
