Solar energy, insulation, energy-efficient appliances and water-saving plumbing fixtures can all be part of the plan.  Even how your addition or home is placed on your lot can make an impact on energy efficiency.  Windows and skylights can be placed strategically to let light in and keep heat out.  Even the materials used can be made from renewable resources.

But which features will allow you the greatest savings right away without wrecking your budget.  Becklin Construction can help you through the maze of decisions needed to make your home what you want in comfort AND green living.

An excellent way to stay in your home but expand your living space, is to add a guesthouse or studio.  The building process for these structures is much shorter and you can design the space to fit your needs whether you want an office, guesthouse, art studio or in-law suite.

Becklin Construction LLC can help you design your project to complement your space.  We monitor and coordinate the construction using the same quality subcontractors that build our custom homes.  And your finished project carries the same warranties and guarantees that we provide our custom homes.

We’d be glad to talk with you about making your ideas a reality.

The wildfires raging on the northeastern border of Arizona and New Mexico are of great concern to those who have homes and summer cabins in the ponderosa pine forests.  Becklin Construction LLC has spent the past summer constructing the exterior of a beautiful log cabin in a remote wilderness area  near Reserve, New Mexico.  This summer Becklin plans to finish the interior and have this off-the-grid cabin ready for use.

The large logs for this cabin were cut to Becklin’s specifications in Victoria, British Columbia and shipped directly to the lot.  The cabin was then built on-site.  Watch for our future article about building a solar, off-the-grid home.
